Scholarship Program
The Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation continues to grow its Scholarship Program. Last spring we awarded scholarships to Elkhorn Public Schools’ graduates worth over $550,000, and we have added 7 more scholarship opportunities for Elkhorn Public Schools’ students in the Class of 2025! See below for more information regarding our program.
Community Funded Scholarships & ACHIEVE Scholarship Program
The Foundation utilizes a customized scholarship software platform by WizeHive! Students apply online which eliminates redundant tasks and paper applications. Our system is easy and user-friendly!

Scholarship Applications for Class 2025
The online scholarship application portal will be available December 2nd – February 3rd. Click on the button below to access the scholarship application portal which will open on December 2nd at 8am.
Tips for Scholarship Applicants:
•Applicants must be seniors currently attending an Elkhorn Public Schools high school (Elkhorn High, Elkhorn North, or Elkhorn South).
• Refer to our new tool (an outline of Scholarships by Focus) to narrow your search for Foundation scholarships (EHS Scholarships by Focus , ENHS Scholarships by Focus, or ESHS Scholarships by Focus). Then go to 2025 Scholarships Available to review the scholarships that you are interested in to confirm that you meet the requirements for each scholarship.
•If there is a letter of recommendation requirement for the scholarship that you want to apply for, ask your recommender early in the process if they would write a recommendation for you. You will need your recommender’s name and email address to enter on the scholarship application.
• Click on the button above to access the application portal. (Portal will open on December 2nd at 8am).
•When creating an account for the scholarship platform, please use a unique, personal (non-school) email. Also, do not use an email that an older sibling used to apply for Foundation scholarships in a previous year!
•There are detailed instructions in the scholarship submission portal. Please read them and follow them carefully.
•The deadline to submit online scholarship applications is 5pm on February 3rd.
•All applicants will be notified mid-April by email.
Scholarship winners will be recognized at the Foundation’s Scholarship Recognition Ceremonies held at each high school the last week of April. See “Important Dates” below.
Community Funded Scholarships
The Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation encourages students to continue their education after high school and has made a significant investment in building a robust scholarship program. Not only does the Foundation fund scholarships, but we have invested in technology, staffing, and a matching fund program to make it easy for donors to partner with us to provide additional opportunities for Elkhorn students.
Elkhorn North High School Added to Program
The Foundation added Elkhorn North High School scholarships to our online scholarship platform in 2022. Our goal is to provide as many scholarship opportunities as possible to Elkhorn North seniors.
The “Super-Charge ENHS Scholarship Incentive Program” incentivizes the creation of new scholarship funds by non-school related donors. To be eligible, the newly created scholarship fund must be dedicated to awarding an annual scholarship to an Elkhorn North High School student. These “Super-Charge Funds” are in addition to the Foundation’s existing matching funds program and will be available until the pool of funds is depleted.
If you are interested in sponsoring a scholarship for Elkhorn North High School students, please contact Genice Chochon at gchochon@elkhornfoundation.org. (Paperwork to establish new scholarships must to be finalized by October 1st in order to be offered to seniors graduating the following May).
ACHIEVE Scholarship Program
In 2015 the Foundation created the ACHIEVE Scholarship program to recognize and reward students who engage in academically rigorous coursework while maintaining balance in other areas of interest within our schools and community. In 2024, the ACHIEVE Scholarship was renamed the “ACHIEVE Advanced Placement (AP) Scholarship”, and the Foundation added a new pathway to the ACHIEVE Scholarship Program, creating the “ACHIEVE Career & Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship”. This new scholarship recognizes and rewards students who complete a series of coursework in one Career & Technical Education Program of Focus, as well as complete a multitude of Career Exploration Experiences, Extra-Curricular Activities, and Community Service.
Graduating seniors who achieve designated criteria for either one or both ACHIEVE Scholarship pathways and submit the appropriate ACHIEVE Scholarship application will receive an ACHIEVE Scholarship from the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation.
We are excited to announce that Metro Community College has committed to match ACHIEVE Scholarships (both ACHIEVE AP and ACHIEVE CTE) for students who enroll at Metro Community College the fall after their high school graduation.
