The Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation will host its 6th Annual Bids 4 Kids Ladies Night Out on April 5th at Noah’s Event Venue. The fundraiser will again feature a silent auction, raffles, complimentary appetizers and refreshments. Can’t make our event? Register your phone for free to bid through our mobile bidding platform. Last year over 200 guests attended our event, raising more than $33,000 to help fund the Foundation’s Math and Reading Intervention programs at all 10 elementary schools in the Elkhorn Public School District.
Through the Intervention programs, elementary students are tutored before or after school by Elkhorn Public School staff members, helping to improve their overall math and reading comprehension. In the 2016/2017 school year, the Foundation funded over $79,000 in additional teacher instructional time. This year, we estimate that 100 teachers will provide an additional 4,960 instructional hours outside of the normal school day to over 550 elementary students. With your generous support, the Foundation can continue to fund this growing vital program that is making a difference in students’ test scores and confidence!

More than just a morning of fun activity, it will be an important event to benefit special education programs for Elkhorn youth. The proceeds will aid both the Elkhorn Soccer Club’s TOPSoccer Program and the Foundation’s Classroom Grants program for Special Education in the Elkhorn Public Schools District. TOPSoccer is a US Youth Soccer program that stands for The Outreach Program for Soccer. It’s a program designed to provide opportunities for players who, for physical, mental or emotional reasons, cannot commit to a conventionally structured soccer competition. TOPSoccer participants include players with Autism, Down’s Syndrome, and physical disabilities. Through the Foundation’s Classroom Grant program, we are able to fund requests from Elkhorn Special Education teachers in the district for items such as thematic language and cross-curricular activities, equipment for sensory processing needs, toys for play skills therapy and much more!
